MobileMe Is Dead, Save Your Data And Move To iCloud

by Abdelrahman Mohamed on July 2, 2012

A couple of months ago Apple have been warning up its users to hurry up and save their data as they are looking to kill MobileMe since last year, and today I want to tell you sadly that Apple has just officially killed MobileMe and shutdown it forever.MobileMe’s iDisk and Gallery features have also been axed in favor of Apple’s newer iCloud offerings.

And also as Apple warned it’s users to move to iCloud new system, but you will get your own chance to save your data and quickly move to iCloud services.

Apple’s MobileMe webpage has been replaced with a ‘now closed’ message and directions for migrating existing accounts to iCloud. MobileMe users with 20GB-60Gb of storage are receiving matching storage upgrades for free when they switch to iCloud. The only catch is that MobileMe accounts with 60GB of storage will receive 50GB of free space instead of 60GB. Apple is offering free storage upgrades to give MobileMe users time to manage and move their data around until the free iCloud upgrades expire on September 30th, 2012.

If you are facing some problems while moving to iCloud or having some questions, you may like to head forward to Apple’s official Q&A page, have you been using MobileMe for a long time or not ?!
