Well today we have got a great things to tell for Apple TV users. We all know that the jailbreak community has been awfully quiet as of late, so today Kevin Bradley, better known as nitoTV has just announced releasing a new Jailbreak utility for jailbroken Apple TVs called nito Installer. The app makes installing software on hacked ATVs easier than ever before…
The major difference between the Apple TV jailbreak and the jailbreaking procedure used with other devices is that once jailbroken you’d have to use SSH or Terminal commands to install third party applications, whereas on other devices you’d have a Cydia installer for easy application installation. We’ve now created a software to easily fix this issue, allowing you to install nitoTV or XBMC to your Apple TV with virtually no technical experience necessary. As long as you can read, you can now install XBMC or nitoTV to your Apple TV without hassle.
Requirements
- Download nito Installer for Mac Software Application
- Jailbroken Apple TV 2
So here is how TO INSTALL XBMC TO YOUR APPLE TV.
STEP 1: First launch Nito Installer application from your Mac.
STEP 2: Select your desired Apple TV name in the dropdown box at the top, if you only have one Apple TV you can skip this step. You’ll see the IP Address of the device you’ve selected in the lower left hand corner.
STEP 3: Now Press the “Install XBMC” button and wait a few minutes for it to complete.
That’s it now you should see a green checkmark on your screen.. And now you have just installed XBMC to your jailbroken Apple TV, painlessly, without employing any of your vast technical skills whatsoever.
