iOS 5.1.1 Untethered Jailbreak Tool To Called Absinthe 2.0

by Abdelrahman Mohamed on May 21, 2012

We all know that the release of the iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak is just a few days away and everyone is so excited to see it. But after we all know the ETA for the jailbreak release we haven’t yet known what the tool will be called.. And we all know that when hackers release a new tool they must give it a name.. So what name would the jailbreak will be called ?!

So today and according to a tweet from the well known hacker @xvolks  he said that he could jailbreak his new bootrom 3GS with iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak and thanks to Absinthe 2.0

As you can see from his tweet above, iOS hacker @xvolks is currently knee deep in the testing process with Absinthe 2.0 — the tool that will apparently accomplish the iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak. So from these great news we are very sure that the upcoming iOS 5.11. untethered jailbreak tool will be called Absinthe 2.0..

But really there is something strange, because Absinthe Jailbreak tool is made by Chronic Dev Team and they already took this name for themselves.  I’m not saying that the process will be the same as it was with the original Absinthe, I’m just saying that we can expect the Chronic Dev Team to do like they always do, and ship a product that is simple and straightforward.

So what do you think about this name.. Sounds great right ?!
